Video Games are great in moderation only.

I am advocating for those people who play too much video games in their lifestyle.
I think life is too precious to spend a significant amount of time in playing games that are both unproductive and time consuming.

I agree that there is entertainment value in video games. Furthermore, totally not playing them is a personal choice, but you are missing out some cool stories in a modern 3D medium. However, playing for most of your day is beyond realistic and if you have to escape reality for so long, you should seek help from a pschologist.

Video games cost a lot of money, can be frustrating, requires electricity (running costs), lacks physical excercise, promotes bad posture, is not the best for your vision and reduces the chances of meeting new people.

But the most important aspect must be the reality that wonderful productive opportunities are lost. Life is too short to be spending time in front of the computer or television screen trying to figure out puzzles and completing so called 'Quests' in a totally pointless manner. I mean, what real accomplishment do you get out of a game?

Anyway, I state again, I advocate for people to play no more than 3 hours of games a week.
That is my motto.
and I own many thousands of dollars worth of the gaming consoles and games, but that does not mean I have to waste my wonderful life slaving over them.

This brings me to MMORPG's. They have to be the worst. But I don't want to go there, because I have been there, and learnt my lesson in a pretty intellegent way. I played, and I learnt that I will not get myself into such a situation where I pay money to compete with other players who spend their life playing the game.

Live life, get outside, and move your bones. Life is so much better then 3D stuff.
